Tēnā koutou

Originally from the UK, Jenny completed her Bachelor degree in Physiotherapy graduating in 2001. After working several years in the UK(NHS) hospital system, including Alder Hey Children's Hospital, she came to New Zealand in 2004. Initially spending time working in the Musculoskeletal sports injury sector before returning to her love again in paediatrics. Jenny has nearly 15 years experience working for the Ministry of Education specialist schools both in Wellington and Napier, working with children with a huge range of complex disabilities, sensory needs and behaviours.  She has also spent nearly 2 years working as a visiting Neurodevelopmental Therapist at the hospital where the focus is on providing developmental support to babies and toddlers.

Jenny is a NZ registered Physiotherapist and a member of Physiotherapy New Zealand and the Paediatric special interest group.  She is also a member of a worldwide therapy collective group that continually challenges and promotes professional development. Jenny has various post graduate qualifications including some Bobath, Gait(walking) and orthotic prescription, Hippotherapy (horse therapy), complex seating and 24 hour positioning and Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation.

She is married and has 3 beautiful children herself, including twins, so she understands firsthand that life is a juggle and full of interesting challenges.

Jenny has set up Unique Kids Therapy with the dream it could provide good quality, relaxed but informative tailored therapy support for our local Hawkes Bay Tamariki. We would love it to grow to not only provide physio support but also include other therapists (for example Occupational Therapists or Speach and language therapy).

Working with the local community to provide and develop programmes for kids with differing needs that will last and be sustainable.

Ngā mihi nui         Jenny
